Refund Policy
At Ubuntu Thrift Shop, we are committed to providing quality pre-loved items while complying with Australian Consumer Law.
Because we sell second-hand goods, many items may show signs of wear. Any known faults or imperfections are clearly disclosed at the time of sale and items are priced accordingly.
Consumer Guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
“Sold As Is” Items
Where faults or imperfections are clearly disclosed prior to purchase, the item is considered sold in its disclosed condition.
Refunds or returns will not be provided for faults that were clearly identified and communicated at the time of sale.
Change of Mind
Due to the nature of second-hand goods and our social enterprise model:
We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
We do not offer exchanges for change of mind.
Please choose carefully before purchasing.
Faulty Items
If an item has a fault that was not disclosed at the time of purchase, please contact us within 7 days with proof of purchase.
Where required under Australian Consumer Law, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.
Proof of Purchase
Proof of purchase is required for all returns or claims.
